The gas safety rules, in short
- A Gas Safe registered engineer checks every gas appliance, pipe and flue you provide once a year.
- Your tenants get a copy of the record within 28 days, and a new tenant before they move in.
- Letting a home without a valid check can mean an unlimited fine and up to two years in prison.
